You're already doing the first thing, which is getting rid of stuff. I keep a place in my garage to temporarily store things I want to donate, which helps me get it out of the household areas I want to declutter.

As for the organizing, just break it into small bites. Do one closet. One drawer. One cabinet. Doing that always creates issues in other spaces, and give yourself permission to screw those up a bit more temporarily until you can get to them, too. Once I have a space re-organized, it's much easier to keep it organized. For me, anyway. Know that it will never be perfect and that after a while, you'll have to go back to some places and start over(ish). Entropy is the way of the universe, after all. :-)

As for me, I have an intention (not a resolution) to have more creative fun. To create just for fun. Cause I could use some damn fun.Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13551793959655853424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6419950376125528057.post-32013673166793231882015-01-10T18:49:24.556-06:002015-01-10T18:49:24.556-06:00I signed up for the "January Cure" at Ap...I signed up for the "January Cure" at Apartment Therapy. That's not going so well because the first assignment was to clean all the floors. Uhhhh....I can barely see a couple of my floors because of the junk I have stacked on them. I abandoned that plan already. I did go through my closet and about half of my chest of drawers (so far) and I have three bags of clothes to be donated.
Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03564514698418229865noreply@blogger.com
