Such joy and happiness.....I LOVE it! I know it is super scary to share such personal things on your blog....but just know that reading through your post put a smile on my face from ear to ear. And those pictures - adorable!!!

My husband and I met in 1986 when we were sophomores in HS....though we both went to different schools. We were each others "first love". We dated about one year then I had to move away to Texas. I was completely devastated. We tried to kind of keep it going for a while, but it just was not going to work out since I was SO far away. About a year after I moved away I returned for a visit and was visiting some other friends and Mike's parents over the time I was back. Through talking with his parents I found out Mike was now involved with another girl pretty seriously and we wound up having a HUGE argument about it. We didn't see each other for seven years after that and only talked once on the phone in all of that time. Now it's 1994 and I am back in AZ helping my cousin plan her wedding....I hadn't been back here in a very long time so we drove around to some of my old haunts. On a whim I had her drive by Mike's parents house...they were still there.....we visited with his Mom for a while then she called Mike to tell him I was in town for one night (and literally it was just one night). We made plans to meet up later that night and you had better believe I was terrified out of my mind. When I saw him again it was instant...all the old feelings were still there after all of that time. I was stunned!!! By this time I was living outside of Chicago and had established a life there. If I was going to be with Mike again I had to move back to AZ as he was still going to ASU at that time and needed to finish up his degree here. I won't get into all of the details here, but it was an extremely messy, uncontrollable road I had to go down to get back here. Some people were not thrilled with my decisions. But you know what, it was literally the BEST decision I ever made...married for 18 years now and I've never looked back!

Wish we lived closer, we could all go on a double date!Sara In AZhttp://www.nopatternrequired.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6419950376125528057.post-24349245017125051752016-01-26T16:50:07.208-06:002016-01-26T16:50:07.208-06:00Aw, this is just so darn cute. So cute.

I am really happy for you. Aren't you glad you are now the kind of person who can be turned to blushing giddiness by kindness, dependability, and integrity? Isn't it just so. much. better to be in your 40s than 14? That look in your eyes in the selfie outtake...So dang wonderful.
